Aziz Faizy

is the Executive Director of the Afghanistan Center for Commercial Dispute Resolution (ACDR). Mr. Faizy has used his extensive knowledge of business and commercial law to lead and manage ACDR.

Mr. Faizy oversees the capacity building of mediators and arbitrators, and he ensures that the ACDR continues to offer cost-effective and reliable dispute resolution for Afghan and international businesses. Mr. Faizy is passionate about attracting and maintaining international business and investment in Afghanistan by ensuring the business environment is free of corruption. Mr. Faizy has participated and planned several ADR trainings, workshops, and conferences in order to better educate others on the merits of ADR.

Mr. Faizy received his bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science in 2012 and master’s degree in Private Law in 2017. Mr. Faizy was a Legal Affairs Specialist in the Oversight Commission on Access to Information (OCAI). Additionally, Mr. Faizy previously worked as Legal Services Manager in Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI), assessing business laws, regulations, and development procedure processes in the private sector.

Mr. Faizy is the co-founder of the General Assembly of Transparency Afghanistan (TA) and is a member of the Administrative Review Committee at the National Procurement Authority (NPA) and the legal working group, IWG.
