Sirat A. Khalid Haidary

is the Deputy Director of Afghanistan Center for Commercial Dispute Resolution (ACDR) where he is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the ACDR. Mr. Haidary has extensive knowledge and experience in the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) field.

While at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF), Mr. Haidary represented AUAF in Hong Kong at the most prestigious international arbitration competition in the world, the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. In that competition, he was ranked as the 11th best arbitration oralist, out of 400 competitors, leading his team to the semi-finals in the Asian round.

Mr. Haidary has also taught and coached law students participating in ADR competitions. He has also participated and presented in various ADR conferences, workshops, and trainings. He is the co-founder of ICC Moot National Competitions in Afghanistan.

Mr. Haidary is a civil rights activist and researcher with a strong passion for a just society. He has extensive experience in human service organizations, program design, humanitarian assistance, legal research, arbitration, management, and crisis management.

Mr. Haidary holds a Law Degree (LL. B) from the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF).  Prior to joining ACDR, Haidary worked as a legal mentor, legal researcher, and legal assistant with various organizations.
